AvtoVAZ says restarts production with Lada Granta Classic

MOSCOW, Jun 8 (PRIME) -- Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ has restarted production with the Classic version of Lada Granta cars with a minimal share of imported components, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Lada Granta in this version will become the most affordable new car on the Russian market. The model was developed with the goal of achieving a maximum possible local production and exclude the effect of a deficit of the imported components," the company said.

The facilities of the carmaker have announced downtime multiple times earlier this year and changed the dates of the corporate vacations to April 4–24 from summer.
